Privacy policy
Your information stays yours. Cadence is built with local processing and privacy in mind.

Our commitment
GK Works is a privacy-oriented company. We do not collect information about you or your use of Cadence. We do not sell, share, or give out your information.
Cadence works locally and does not require a Cadence account. It does not contain advertising or analytics SDKs.
Information on your device
Your profiles, timer settings, run history, scores, target photos, calibration results, and related app preferences stay in app-private storage on your device unless you choose to export or share them. GK Works does not receive these records.
Cadence also stores the information needed to preserve automatic-scoring trial state and cached Premium access locally.
Image processing
All image processing happens on your device. When you use the camera or photo picker for target review, alignment, image quality checks, proposed hits, and scoring are performed locally.
Cadence does not upload your target images to GK Works or send them to an external image-processing service. Photos and derived hit positions stay in app-private storage until you delete them or deliberately include them in an export or share operation.
Microphone and permissions
Cadence uses the microphone during calibration and active timer runs to detect acoustic events and measure timing. Audio is processed on your device. Cadence does not save or upload playable audio recordings.
A run may retain relative sound levels, event times, calibration values, and a compact waveform summary locally. These are relative digital measurements rather than calibrated sound-pressure-level readings.
Microphone permission is required for acoustic timing. Camera permission is used for in-app target capture. You can deny or revoke permissions through your device settings.
Optional purchases and update services
Google Play processes the optional lifetime Premium purchase and monthly Premium subscription on Android. The US prices are $9.99 once for lifetime access or $2.99 per month. The store displays the applicable local price and taxes before purchase. Both options grant the same Premium features.
The monthly subscription renews automatically until cancelled in Google Play. You can manage or cancel it through Google Play; access continues through the paid period. Uninstalling Cadence does not cancel a subscription.
Cadence receives product details, purchase status, purchase tokens, and entitlement information needed to acknowledge, restore, and check access. It does not receive your Google account password, payment-card details, or billing address. Purchase tokens are not included in Cadence backups or the lifetime entitlement cache.
An acknowledged lifetime entitlement reference is cached securely on the device for offline access. Monthly access is checked with Google Play on startup, when returning to the app, during use, and when restoring purchases. Monthly ownership is held temporarily in memory rather than saved as a permanent offline entitlement. A Google Play connection is required to confirm active monthly access. These billing checks do not upload your profiles, run history, target images, or audio to GK Works.
Builds configured for Expo Updates may contact Expo to check for app updates. Those requests can include the app platform, runtime version, and ordinary connection information such as an IP address. Cadence does not use this service for analytics.
Google Play and Expo handle information for their services under their own privacy policies. GK Works does not receive their account or payment records.
Exports, retention, and deletion
Cadence exports or shares app data only when you choose that action. Backups and exports may include profiles, settings, history, scores, notes, and hit positions. Full backups may also include target images.
You choose the destination through your device’s sharing controls. A recipient or storage service controls a copy after you share it.
Local records remain until you delete them in Cadence, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app, subject to normal operating-system behavior. Copies you have exported must be removed from their destination separately.
Privacy questions
Use the GK Works contact form if you have a question about Cadence’s privacy practices.
